The Algerian Revolution: Scope and Repercussions

Within the framework of the commemoration of the 60th anniversary of the Algerian revolution, Casa Árabe and the Embassy of Algeria jointly organized a conference on November 11, 2014, titled “The Algerian Revolution: Its scope and repercussions in the region and around the world,” given by Algerian writer and historian Mohammed Larbi Zebiri. The event was presented by Eduardo López Busquets, the General Director of Casa Árabe, and included the intervention of Mohammed Haneche, Algeria’s ambassador in Madrid. Mohammed Larbi Zebiri, an Algerian historian and writer (Algiers, 1941), was the President of the Union of Algerian Writers and currently holds the position of President of the Forum of Thought and Culture in Algeria.
